Collaboration is key: Itero is now a member of Chemical Recycling Europe
Itero Technologies joins Chemical Recycling Europe to close the recycling loop for plastics in the region
Itero is now a member of Chemical Recycling Europe (ChemRecEurope). After a unanimous vote within ChemRecEurope, Itero is now part of this collaborative group representing the European chemical recycling industry to push for a sustainable and circular economy for plastics.
As the demand for plastics accelerates, the need to increase recycling rates has never been more pressing. New technologies, like those developed by members of ChemRecEurope, are scaling up to meet the challenge. ChemRecEurope members aim to close the loop for the plastics industry with technology to chemically recycle plastic waste back to its original components and/or other value-added materials.
Dr Abi Mountain, Head of Product and Partnerships at Itero said “Collaboration is essential to tackle sustainability challenges at the scale of the plastics crisis with the urgency required.”
“We are thrilled to join our peers and cooperate to accelerate recycling across Europe. The dedication and expertise of members of the ChemRecEurope is incredibly encouraging for a circular future for plastics.”
